A Treasure Hunt – Part One

The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field… –Matthew 13:44 NLT

Knowing God, believing in Christ, and understanding the power of His resurrection is more valuable than any earthly treasure you can buy, possess, or inherit. Nothing you give up here on Earth, in order to wholeheartedly know and follow Jesus, can compare to what God has stored up for you in heaven. When you eagerly seek God for who He is, you will be pleasantly surprised by all He reveals and bestows upon you. God delights when you draw close to Him and treasure your relationship with Him as though it is a one-of-a-kind gemstone. After all, that is what He thought when He sought after, chose, and adopted you into His glorious kingdom.God does not desire for you to go through life clueless. The Bible is like a treasure chest overflowing with treasurable nuggets that will assist you well during your quest here on Earth. His word is the most important, most profound, and most valuable book that you, as a believer in Christ, can read and live by. Like children searching for items during a treasure hunt, you need to dig deeply into God’s Word to discover priceless gems of wisdom, knowledge, instruction, and promises from God. When you seek them like hidden treasure, store them in your heart, and apply them to your life, God reveals more secret things to you.
