We are not always good at seeing situations clearly or as God sees them. In our hearts, we can be quick to judge, assume, blame, excuse, and more. It’s crazy how we think we can know someone’s story well and we just don’t. Seeing circumstances and situations with spiritual eyesrequires a lot of prayer and listening.Maybe the person who cut you off in traffic is headed to the hospital. Maybe the woman with a scowl on her face is shattered and broken from loss and confusion. Maybe the leader who you trusted to do ______ was at his or her limit behind the scenes and couldn’t deliver according to your expectations.There’s so much we just can’t see with our fleshly eyes, so scripture calls us to pray. Pray the eyes of your heart will be enlightened so you know the hope to which you were called. Pray so you can see people and situations clearly with spiritual eyes. In due time, you’ll be given a greater understanding, compassion, and clarity towards something or someone you just don’tunderstand.
