An Undivided Heart

Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. –Psalm 86:11 NIV

This verse is part of a prayer written by King David, and it should be our prayer, as well. To know His way is to know Him intimately—to know Him in Spirit and in Truth—while living in the presence of His glory. In this way, we are able to confidently and self-assuredly rely on His faithfulness day by day and night by night. This world offers us so many material things that may divide our emotions, thoughts, and hearts. Our hearts should never be divided between God and this world, yet they are sometimes. Our Savior wants to be the center of our lives; and when He is, He rejoices. Today, let’s make the decision to give Jesus, the Lover of our Soul, an undivided heart and to praise Him and glorify Him with all of that heart. Let us all come and enter into the splendor of His presence. Let us rejoice that we have a Savior who longs to have our heart; who desires us and loves us unconditionally. Let us all come together in one voice and bless the awesome name of Jesus.
