Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. –2 Corinthians 5:20 NKJV
We often have a list of the things we want the Lord to do for us. Yet, how often do we ask our heavenly Father to show us how we can serve Him? Every Christian is His ambassador, God’s representative here on earth, with countless opportunities to be His hands and feet. Each of us ought to start our day with the Lord by our side, asking Him what the plan is for the day. How can I serve? Is there a smile I can give? How might I show someone that I care? In John 15:17 (NKJV), Jesus commands us to love one another, and in John 15:13 (NKJV), our Lord points out that there is no greater love than “to lay down one’s life for his friends.” Love is an action word; it is meant to be shared!During worship and prayer time, each of us ought to ask the Lord to show us how to be a positive influence in the world. We are the light of the world, and we should always shine brightly for Jesus.
Thank the Lord that He has given you His light to shine.
Ask God to help you to love others through the faith that He provides.
