But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us...made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus… –Ephesians 2:4-6 NASB
Speaking what you believe from God’s Word will help you to overcome challenging circumstances. Never deny the existence of a problem. Instead, face it with the truth about God’s character, what He’s done, and what He promises to do. Strategically placing these two words—but God —into your assertions will help you to stay focused on the truth and bring victory to every battle you must face. For example, if you say, “I know God loves me and accepts me, but I feel unworthy and unloved,” the problem remains the focus and the final say. Instead, end in faith and power. “I’m feeling unloved and insecure, but God loves me so much. He’s given me the life of Christ, raised me up with Him, and seated me with Him in heavenly places. I’m loved, worthy, accepted, and secure.”With this response, God’s Word gets the last word. Here’s another example: “The medical report says my body has cancer; but God says Jesus, Himself, can take my sicknesses and carry away my diseases if it is His will. No weapon formed against me can succeed. My Father has given me a satisfying life, and He will fulfill His good plans and purposes for me.” In every battle, let God’s Word have the final say.
Thank God for His powerful Word that never fails and ask Him to help you speak His Word in faith.
Ask the Lord to remind you to strategically place, “but God,” in your sentences and end with the promises of God.
