Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him. –Matthew 2:2 NLT
Two days ago, worship was defined. Worship can go a long way in restoring some calm to your month. Yesterday, you had a practice “worship moment.” Today, some ideas are listed to help you as you develop your ability to focus on how incredible God is:● Develop a collection of awe-inspired moments: as you gaze upon a gorgeous, starlit night; as you hold a newborn infant for the first time; or as you recollect the moment you realized that the Baby born so long ago paid the price for your salvation…● Listen to songs that focus your thoughts on how amazing or faithful or powerful your God is: “No One Higher,” “What a Beautiful Name,” “How Great is Our God,” or perhaps an old hymn like “Joy to the World.”● Read the Bible. If you don’t have a list of favorite verses, here are a few good ones: Genesis 1:1-4, 1 Chronicles 16:25-26, Psalm 89:5-8, Psalm 95:1-6, Revelation 5:11-12.Daily worship doesn’t have to take long. In fact, it can occur in a moment or two. But worshiping throughout your day can change your entire day—and even transform a hectic holiday season. Come and worship!
Thank God for Jesus, the Baby who was born, grew up, died on a Cross, and then rose from the dead—all to give you new life!
Ask our Lord to remind you to worship as part of your daily life—from the moment you wake up till the time you head back to bed.
