To Be Is Not to Be

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. –John 14:12 ESV

As a Christ follower, you are commissioned to be the hands and feet of Jesus. In John 13:15 (NIV), Jesus says, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” Just as He healed the lepers, you have the power to lay hands on the sick and heal them. Just as Jesus reached out to the poor and the hungry, you can gather from your own abundant provision, fill your basket, and share it with those in need. Just as our Lord comforted the downtrodden, you can embrace those who see no way in life—and show them the way to Heaven. Allow Jesus to live through you. Ask Him to show you the way.Matthew 25:40 (ESV) says, “And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Jesus never turned His back on anyone who came to Him. So today, as you head for the door with the joy of knowing who you are in Him, fill your hands with His abundance and start your feet to walking!

prayer focuses

Father, let me be the hands and feet of Your Son by getting out of my own way and following in Your footsteps.

Lord, let me be open and aware of those in need around me today, so that I can share what You have given me.
