This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. –Joshua 1:9 NLT
Seasons bring change. One change in many places is Daylight Savings. In the spring, the clock moves forward one hour; and in the fall, it turns back one hour. Daylight becomes shorter or longer depending on the season and the time change. There are also seasons and changes in your life. At times, you move forward, taking great strides in your Christian walk. While at other times, you resort to old habits which set you back. You have both good days and bad days, realizing that life is a struggle, but that it is also surrounded by mercy and grace. The Christian life is not always peaceful and happy. But it is important to continually seek the Lord and trust Him. Life is hard—but it is even harder without God.A sure way of rising above the unavoidable changes in life is to start your day by spending time with the Lord. This may be challenging; but when you seek Him during that first portion of your morning, you are preparing yourself for whatever ups and downs the day may hold. Remember, even Jesus rose early to pray. Seasons change, but He doesn’t. His steadfast love will see you through every one of life’s highs and lows.
Go to the Father with thankfulness, acknowledging your need for Him.
Express your trust in the Lord’s power and love—no matter what season of life you are in.
