It is common to face discouragement in this world. Loneliness, poor health, struggles with jobs, or relationship issues can cause you to be discouraged. You may be filled with worry, which can cause anxiety. It is difficult to function in your own strength. Life is not always an easy road. There are peaks and valleys, but you can rise above them when adversity comes. The power of God opens your heart to let His power take over. You can’t get through every hardship on your own. It’s impossible. You may blame others, feel God is not answering your prayer, or just give up. When you have a relationship with Jesus, though, you can have confidence that He is with you through all your circumstances. Draw close and experience His deep concern for you. Philippians 4:13 (NLT) says, “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” That is the answer, relying not on your own abilities, but on His strength. Stand strong as Psalm 30:11 (NIV) says, “You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.” You don’t have to be discouraged when you believe and trust in the Lord.
