Praise the Lord…who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. –Psalm 103: 2-5 NIV
Have you ever had a family member or friend who was desperately in need of healing? Have you ever prayed, fasted, and believed for her healing only to have her die anyway? Has it affected your faith, and does it leave God’s promises seeming hollow when you read them?Have you questioned if everything you’ve been taught to believe is actually true? Psalm 103 is an amazing life scripture. It promises that our God forgives all our sins, heals all our diseases, redeems our life from the pit of destruction, crowns us with loving kindness, gives us good things, and renews our youth like the eagle’s. What more could we want? We believe He forgives all our sins; but do we really believe He heals all our diseases? What about our loved one who died?We want God to heal the way we want Him to—now! But our God knows the future, and perhaps His way of healing her was to take her home. The Lord does heal every disease, but not always in the way we expect. Today, your deceased loved one may be more alive than she ever was here on earth, as she was healed eternally. So, don’t be angry with God, consider His eternal perspective.
Thank the Lord for His mercy, love, and compassion.
Pray for strength and healing for those suffering
