Doors Of Opportunity

...for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. –1 Corinthians 16:9 ESV

When God opens a door of opportunity for you to walk through, you will encounter “opposition” from three areas. The first area of opposition comes from yourself. When fear enters your mind, you need to cast those fearful thoughts aside, trusting that God is with you and that He has given you what it takes to move on in whatever new thing He is calling you to do.The second area is others. For whatever reason, some people aren’t thrilled to witness others moving forward in new things. For this reason, you need to rely on confidence from God to proceed forward regardless of what others say.The third area is our archenemy. Anytime God opens new doors of opportunity in your life, you can be certain the enemy will try to block you. Satan doesn’t want you to gain new areas of growth or claim new territory for God’s kingdom work. You must resist his attacks and courageously walk through the doors God opens for you.The Bible says, “Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded” (Hebrews 10:35 NIV). Thus, the next time an opportunity comes your way—you’ll need to shake off your fear, dust off what naysayers say, and stomp over the obstacles the enemy places in front of you. You will make the devil mad and God glad!

prayer focuses

Pray that God would give you the courage to walk through when a new door of opportunity comes your way and the wisdom to say “No” to the wrong opportunities.

Ask the Holy Spirit to increase your confidence so you can boldly go forward in the new things God is doing in your life.
