Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. –Psalm 98:1 NKJV
John 10:10 (NLV) says the enemy has come“to steal, and kill, and destroy” you. Destroy means to “render useless.” The enemy uses people and circumstances to sentence you to punishment for life with depression, addiction, disease, shame, and fear, just to name a few. Hourly, he condemns you. Daily, he fights against you.And eternally, he wants to destroy you. But God has plans for you, too. God sent Jesus to give you the victory, deliver you from dangers and distress, and to set you free. Now is the time for you to stand up, claim the victory, and declare it over your life. If you’ve been going to God and still can’t seem to break free from the chains binding you, ask a few others to stand with you to pray for you. Also, seek godly counsel through a Christian therapist, pastor, or even lay-pastor. It’s vitally important that you don’t isolate yourself. Instead, be vulnerable, allowing others to walk alongside you to your victory. Overcoming life-sentences are never easy. But by grace, you are an overcomer and more than a conqueror (see 1 John 5:4 and Romans 8:37).
Thank God that Jesus has given you the victory.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you toward others who can help you as you go through trials.
