So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. –Isaiah 41:10 NIV
Not only we ourselves, but also our family, friends, and acquaintances are bound to experience difficulties at one time or another. Our prayer list may get longer as we receive news of job losses, illnesses, marriages falling apart, and the loss of loved ones.We may even question whether or not God is really in control, or if he cares. This is exactly what Satan desires—to see us trapped in hopelessness. Yet, hopelessness and despair should not be our reaction. Jesus explained in John 16:33 (NIV), “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” No one is exempt from difficulties. The truth is that “... The Lord Will Provide” (Genesis 22:14 NIV) and He is “...The Lord who heals...” (Exodus 15:26 NLT).The Lord is our refuge and strength in times of trouble. He is our safe place. We will not escape trials in this world, but we must not forget who God is and how He has provided in the past. Trust that nothing is too difficult for Him to handle. He will continue to provide every day. Psalm 23 (NLT) explains that the Lord is close beside us, guiding, protecting, and comforting us. The Lord is the great shepherd of His sheep, and He is watching over us every moment of our lives!
Thank our Lord Jesus for being the Good Shepherd who never abandons His sheep.
Pray for the Lord’s healing, comfort, and provision for your family, friends, and loved ones.
