Be Still

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.... Be still, and know that I am God. –Psalm 46:1,10 NIV

When the issues of life overwhelm us and we feel we are losing ground, what is our reaction at that precise moment of chaos and despair? The Lord of Heaven and of the universe tells us that He is our refuge. Let us believe this with every strength of our being and stay steadfast on His Word. He is our fortress to protect us from the raging armies coming up against us. He is the illuminating light when that cloud of darkness surrounds us and tries to overpower us. Our magnificent Savior is everything to us. We need to take hold of that. Nothing can come against our Jesus; nothing can prevail against Him. Let us be still in His glorious presence. All of our circumstances are under His control, and they are nothing for Him because He is our Defender and Protector. “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10 NIV).Let Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah—that roaring powerful Lion—take charge of your life, and you will see the glory of the Lord and will experience the peace that transcends all understanding.
