Have you heard someone speak of their “life verse”? A life verse is Scripture that is unique to each person and has personal significance in the person’s life. It’s a verse used to encourage or to hold on to when times are tough. These verses may change throughout the seasons, but often there is one that remains imprinted on your heart. If you don’t already have a life verse, ask God to help you find one. God has a way of pointing you in the right direction when you seek Him first. Open your Bible and search through some of your favorite books. There are so many good verses to choose from. Once you’ve found a verse that speaks to you, write it down in a variety of places. Seeing it often and speaking it over your life will do wonders for you. The next time you are having a bad day or are going through a really rough patch, use your verse to remind yourself of God’s promises. Then when you see how it gets you through, your life verse will take on that much more meaning for you.
