Let Us Rejoice!

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. –Galatians 6:9 NKJV

Each day that we awake is a gift. Our first priority should be to thank God even before our feet touch the floor. Yet on many days, we get busy, missing out on the plans the Lord has for us. We ultimately end our day exhausted and discouraged. Thankfully, there is a way that we can experience what the Lord offers us each day. It involves setting a time to be alone with the Lord, sharing our joys and concerns, reading the Bible, and listening for His voice.Having this intimate time with the Lord is essential in order for us to show God’s love and light to this world. As Christians we should be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us. But this is challenging since life is not always perfect; it is both temporary and flawed.Nevertheless, Isaiah 40:29 (NLT) tells us, “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” Whatever we face to day, our Lord is with us. He is our Strength, our Fortress, our Deliverer, our Healer, our Redeemer, our Prince of Peace, and our Hiding place. As we reflect on who God is, we will be able to say, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Thank you, Lord, for bringing me through all I must face today and tomorrow.

Lord, help me to live today in Your strength and not lean on my own understanding
