Memory Loss

…You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first…. –Revelation 2:4-5 NIV

Do you have memory loss where the Lord is concerned? Do you forget the things God has done for you? Have you forgotten the loving relationship you once shared with the Lord? The Apostle Paul urges us in Hebrews 10:32 (NLT), “Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ.Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.” The Lord of Hosts promises in Zechariah 1:3 (NKJV), “Return to Me…and I will return to you.” Keeping a praise journal is a wonderful way to remember all that the Lord is accomplishing through and in your life.In time, as you reflect upon it, you will begin to realize the magnitude of the Lord’s great love for you. As a result, your relationship with God will strengthen. Your love for Christ will grow, motivating you to more good works, as you share the Lord’s love with others. God, through His Holy Spirit, is with you, illuminating your life with His Word. Pray and read the Lord’s Word daily, and you will no longer forget.
