One More Faith Step

…God takes the side of the helpless; when I was at the end of my rope, he saved me. –Psalm 116:6 MSG

If everything is going your way, and you’re feeling at the top of your faith game, thank God and keep moving forward. But perhaps that is not you today, and you find yourself in a slump season. Maybe something threw a knockout punch, and you feel paralyzed, not even wanting to get up again. You may not feel like Jesus is near, but He is always near. Cry out to Him for help with all of your needs. Keep asking Him. Hope will eventually return, and you will see light again soon. God has promised to rescue you, and He does not lie. When something knocks you out, remember that God lifts up and saves the humble person (Job 22:29). Choose to get up today. Take hold of the hand of Jesus. Take one step of faith. Look up to the heavens and say, “God, You are mighty, and I declare: There is a lifting up for me.” Keep believing, keep asking, and each day, take one more faith step. He will rescue you. You will come through this, and the light will shine brightly once again!
