Prayer & Fast- Day 9

John 13:34-35; 1 Peter 2:17; Acts 2:42-47

Our Lead Pastor, Randy Bezet often says, “Life change happens in the context of relationships.” We need one another. In fact, the phrase “one another” is used 412 times in the NIV. Listen to the admonition from Scripture, love one another, encourage one another, forgive one another, serve one another, confess to one another, bless one another, honor one another . . . you get the point. The early church understood the power of one another. This new family of faith, freshly empowered by the Holy Spirit, lived and acted as a new community, and the Lord blessed them. They gathered together daily, ate meals together, worshipped together, and cared for the practical needs of one another. This is what Jesus intended for His Church. Quite often, in the busyness of our lives and the bigness of our church, we struggle to find family, to connect with our “one anothers”. Bayside Community Church has a pathway to help you find community. The Growth Track is the best place to start. In addition, there are serve teams, outreach teams, and small groups for you to be a part of. We were never meant for isolation and we were created to be in community.Life change really does happen in the context of relationships.

In what ways is the Holy Spirit speaking to You from God’s Word?  How can you apply this to your life? Take some time to journal your thoughts.

Prayer Jesus, who are my “one anothers”? Help me find family and find connection and community wherever You have planted me. Help to develop deep roots so that I can bear much fruit to my Father’s Glory. When it comes to community, I need . . .

Bayside Community Church

At the beginning of each year, as a church, we set aside time for prayer and fasting. We believe God deserves our full attention and our best. So, before we fill our calendars for the year, we want to listen.  We say with Samuel, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening”. (1 Sam 3:9)

These daily readings are collection of thoughts and scripture to use as prompts to invite you to dig deeper - to listen and lean in. Use the scriptures as a springboard to explore further. Consider praying through the scriptures given and let the Word of God speak.

We are praying that you will hear from God in personal and powerful ways over the next 14 days and beyond!
