…a voice of one calling in the wilderness, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.” –Mark 1:3 NIV
When God has given us a dream or a vision, but we don’t see it coming to fruition, we are in the waiting. It’s a tough place for us to be, especially in our see-it, want-it, order-it-online-and-have-it-delivered-today culture.
But God does His best work on us in the waiting. It is here that He refines us. It is where He takes what is crooked and makes it straight. It is here that He prepares us to be vessels for Jesus by reaching others through our testimony. In this waiting period, we can be examples of how God can take what is broken and distorted and yet still redeem us.
In the waiting…God is preparing us! Let’s allow Him to prepare the way and make straight the paths by which He will use us.
Prepare me, even during my trials, Lord, to be used by You to introduce Jesus to others!
God, help me persevere in the waiting and seek Your purpose!
