Purpose

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. –Psalms 33:11 NIV

Goals, plans, and our future outcome. We focus on accomplishing the goals we have set for ourselves, and they often can become a distraction from the plans God has for us. Juggling life can take a toll on anyone, and we often sacrifice things we think are acceptable to drop because we feel it will be there later. We also can tend to do that to God as well, because we know He will always be there. However, in Psalm 33:11 (NIV), we are reminded that God does not need to juggle. His plans are solid, and they are good for us. From the beginning of our lives, God’s plans for us were already known to Him. He has a purpose for each of our lives. Not only do we find comfort in knowing that God has a purpose for each of us, but that He stays with us to accomplish each of those plans. God does not abandon us; His heart purposely pursues us. As we focus on the Lord, He will direct our paths.
