He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. –Isaiah 40:29-30 MSG
Someone reading this today might be about to drop out of something that God initially encouraged him or her to achieve. If that’s you, don’t throw in the towel. If God has led you to it, He will give you the fresh strength you need to carry onward. God is a rewarder of those who are determined to give it their all regardless of the challenges they may face.If you are on the verge of dropping out from a family that needs you, from continuing your studies, from attending your summer small group, or from your recovery program, stop and talk to God about it first. Most likely He will say, “Stick with it.” Why? Because He can’t bless your efforts if you resolve to drop out. It’s easy to start something, but it takes perseverance to stick with something and see it through to completion. Motivation and determination are like two pedals on a bicycle; if you keep pedaling, you’re bound to reach your destination.
Ask God what He desires you to do concerning whatever you might be about to give up.
Ask the Holy Spirit to give you fresh strength so you can continue doing the important things of God.
