Restoring What Is Lost

I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm—my great army that I sent among you. –Joel 2:25 NIV

Life doesn’t always work out in our timing, largely because we live in a fallen world. We might face many hardships throughout our lifetime. Yet, regardless of our circumstances, God can give us hope for the future. He is our Hope-giver and able to restore all that’s been stolen from us. At times, it might be hard to see beyond our present circumstances; but we can’t give up hoping for a better outcome because every day God gives us a new chance for happiness and redemption. He is always faithful and greater than any brokenness we might face. We will go through many seasons in life, and they are all known to the Father. He will be with us in each one! God is not finished with our stories. He wrote each of our books and knows every page of our lives. Go before Him with every difficulty you are facing and trust that He can bring you through each struggle. He will give back what the locust has taken (see Joel 2:25). The situation might be different from what you think should occur, but choose today to trust Him and His timing!

prayer focuses

Father, thank You that Your Word is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!

Lord, I am choosing to trust that You are my Hope-giver and that You will restore my lost, locust years.
