Secured in God’s Hands

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. –2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

Throughout 2020, the media bombarded us with news concerning the presidential election. Based on what was told, many became overwhelmed and discouraged. However, when we realize that God has everything under control and our future is secure in His hands, we can veto the tension that builds up when facing any personal, community, state, or national situation. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV), “We live by faith, not by sight.” God knows the beginning from the end. When you feel the temptation to despair from all the negativity, trust that God’s perfect will shall prevail. Remember, the Lord is working all things for His perfect purpose and plan. Be grateful that you have been chosen to be part of Christ’s campaign. What is seen and done in the here and now is temporal, but what is yet to come when Christ returns in His full glory is eternal. When the Lord’s campaign comes to full completion, the government will rest upon His shoulders. All things will come into order, and peace will reign forevermore.
