Sharing Jesus is our great and shining commission from the Lord. We have a mission to testify that He is the one and only Son of God. The Holy Spirit empowers each of us to be witnesses “to the ends of the earth”(Acts 1:8 NIV). In fact, we cannot be a vital part of spreading the Gospel without the Holy Spirit.Early in his life, John the Baptist knew of Jesus since they were related. However, it wasn’t until he was filled with the Holy Spirit that he was empowered to proclaim Jesus to be the Lord (see Mark 1). Like John the Baptist, you may have heard of Jesus through family or friends.But, once the Holy Spirit came to dwell in you and entered your heart, you were reborn with a mission to share the good news that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus sacrificed His life not for one country or group, but for the whole world. Spread the Good News!
