Speak Life

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. –Proverbs 18:21 NIV

What you speak, you manifest. Every day, you eat the fruit that your words produce. Positive words give birth to goodness, prosperity, joy, peace, and success. Negative words produce the opposite: strife, confusion, fear, and hopelessness. Speaking negative words over your life keeps you locked in a prison of misery and stagnation.Strike these words from your vocabulary: afraid, fear, worry, scared, nervous, anxious, hate, can’t, loser…you get the idea. In any conversation, simply refuse to use these and similar words when you refer to yourself or the people you love. Repeat every day (or every five minutes, if necessary): “Lord, today I choose not to fear, not to worry, and not to doubt Your great love for me and Your perfect plan for my life.” Shout it out loud so the devil can hear you! Satan isn’t omniscient. He doesn’t have access to your thoughts as God does. But Satan does hear every word you say, and the wrong words give him ammunition to use against you. Why make his job easier? Remind him that the power, wisdom, and courage of the Holy Spirit lives inside you. Choose to speak life into everyone around you.

prayer focuses

Lord, train me to speak encouragement and hope over my life.

Father, replace my negative thoughts and words with positive ones.
