Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the vast army. For this battle is not yours, but God’s...Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you. –2 Chronicles 20:15-17 NIV
When will we finally get fed up with the enemy’s attacks and say, “That’s enough”? When will we decide to stand in the gap for our friends and family members who are being attacked? This is vital. Only when we resist, does the devil go running. We ought not to let another day go by where we allow the enemy to steal from us or our loved ones.We are told to “be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith...And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace…will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Peter 5:8-9 NIV). We can be comforted with the words of John: “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4 NASB). But, simply knowing this isn’t good enough. We must have follow-through to ward off the enemy. We must stand firm on God’s Word and stay alert! The enemy knows that if he can’t get us to back down, then he’s got nothing. But if he can get us to waver, falter, or flee; then just like a lion pursuing his prey, he knows that he’s got us. Today is the day to say, “That’s enough” and overcome the enemy by focusing on God’s Word and staying on our knees praying to God for His help!
Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and courage to keep pressing into God through prayer.
Thank God that He has given you the victory over the devil and all of his attacks.
