Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. –Ephesians 6:10 NIV
Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) says that people are not the real enemy. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” There is a real enemy who means to defeat you. How do you battle the real enemy?1) Ask the Lord for discernment. James 1:5 (NIV) says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to him.” When God opens your eyes to see things as He sees them, it’s easier to deal with the situation because you can see straight to the truth of the matter.2) Dress for success.“ Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11 NIV). God wants you to succeed, which is why He tells you to dress in the full armor of the Lord. It will enable you to stand.Your enemy will use whatever and whomever he can to get you to fail and fall. But you don’t have to be defeated because Christ overcame the world (John 16:33 NIV). He came so that you could have life to the fullest (John 10:10 NIV). Remember you are an overcomer because Christ lives in you, so stand confidently in His mighty power.
Thank God for sending His Son so that you can be an overcomer.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to always remember who your real enemy is in every situation.
