Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you. –Psalm 84:12 NIV
There are times when we feel so overwhelmed that we cannot think, react, or even pray; we simply freeze. We may cry, withdraw, or even be unable to communicate. At one time or another, everyone can attest to this reaction. Yet, some will not admit this response, fearing the judgment of others. So, how should we respond? Proverbs 3:5 (NIV) says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”We can’t always understand the “whys” in life; but there is Someone who knows exactly the why, as well as the when, the where, and the how of the outcome. Praying is the only recourse each of us has. At times, our prayer might consist of these six words, I trust you, Lord. Help me,” repeated over and over. When we cannot control the situation, our Lord is the only One who can give us peace. Although His timing is different from ours, He will never forsake us. As we face the most difficult times of life, we need to remember the six words and repeat them, putting complete trust in our heavenly Father.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead and direct your path each day.
Pray that the Lord will strengthen your faith. Trust in Him, even when you are overwhelmed
