Unwarranted Fear

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. –Galatians 6:9 NKJV

God has called you to bear fruit, not fear. But the enemy is constantly streaming seeds of doubt to you and then isolating you once you begin to believe what he says. In isolation, you shut out all other perspectives and are more willing to listen to his lies. But the Holy Spirit, “the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, counsel and strength” (Isaiah 11:2 NIV), says that you have been adopted as sons and daughters. Romans 8:15 (NIV) says, “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, ‘Abba. Father.’”If you are trying to break free from the grip of an unwarranted fear, seek godly counsel from someone you trust. Next, immerse yourself in God’s Word, seeking and speaking His truths and promises so you can replace the fears and lies of the enemy with the Lord’s power and love.
