With Just One Touch

…and all who touched him [Jesus] were healed. –Matthew 14:36 NLT

What is ailing you my brother or sister? What has robbed you of the peace and joy the Lord Jesus has imparted in you? Our Savior loves us and watches out for us—our Savior never sleeps. With just one wave of His loving hand, Jesus calmed a raging storm; with one command the storm ceased. What authority! When troubles come, we often get scared and confused. When we fear the outcome of negative situations in our lives, our peace and joy are replaced with fear. The good news is that we have the Lion of the tribe of Judah, mighty in power and glory, to fight our battles and to calm the raging sea of fear, confusion, pain, and despondency. Do not let the enemy have the upper hand in your situation. Remember, bigger is He—Jesus—who is in us than the enemy in the world. My beloved friend, let’s reach out to the Author and Perfecter (Hebrews 12:2) of our lives and experience with just one touch the deliverance from every raging storm.

prayer focuses

Lord, help our unbelief in times of trouble, and let us keep our gaze on You and not the storms in our lives.

Help us, Lord, not to lose sight of You as we go through times of trouble and fear.
