You Are Never Forgotten

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. –Psalm 32:8 NIV

When you are surrounded with blessings, it is easy to be confident in your faith. However, when trials come your way, doubts may inevitably arise. As a difficult situation persists, you might be tempted to lose hope, wondering if the Lord has forgotten you. This cannot be further from the truth. The Lord made this clear in Isaiah 49:15-16 (NIV), “…I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands...”It is evident that living the Christian life is not always easy. There are times when the journey appears too difficult to continue. But God is consistent with His love, even when you don’t feel it. At such times, speak to the Lord using the words from Psalm 23:4 (NIV), “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” You have to trust that Jesus walks with you through trials and listens to your every petition. His timing often doesn’t match yours, but His timing is always perfect. Knowing that the Lord your God loves you and cares for you should encourage you. He wants you to hold on to the promise that He will pour out His grace and give you inner peace (see 2 Corinthians 9:8 NKJV). You are never forgotten.
