You Are Part of His Flock

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. –Psalm 23:1 NIV

A shepherd’s job is to gather, feed, and protect his sheep. Do you think of yourself as a sheep? The Lord refers to you as “the sheep of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3 NLT). So, what does that mean?1. He gave His life for yours.2. He goes before you and holds your hand.3. He calls you friend.4. He prepared a room for you in heaven.5. His love for you will never end.Don’t let Satan’s lies lead you to doubt God’s love for you. Your heavenly Father is faithful. Believe His words. As Psalm 23:6 (NLT) reminds believers, “Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever” (NLT). Praise God that you will never be a lost sheep without a shepherd.

Bayside Community Church

At the beginning of each year, as a church, we set aside time for prayer and fasting. We believe God deserves our full attention and our best. So, before we fill our calendars for the year, we want to listen.  We say with Samuel, “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening”. (1 Sam 3:9)

These daily readings are collection of thoughts and scripture to use as prompts to invite you to dig deeper - to listen and lean in. Use the scriptures as a springboard to explore further. Consider praying through the scriptures given and let the Word of God speak.

We are praying that you will hear from God in personal and powerful ways over the next 14 days and beyond!
